Vicky Long is the founder and lead photographer of Higher Focus Photography. A former Division I collegiate athlete with Ole Miss Volleyball, Vicky brings a rare blend of athletic insight, credibility, and creative vision to every project. Her background in high-level sport shapes HFP’s approach—efficient, intentional, and designed to showcase athletes at their best.
Vicky is deeply passionate about elevating girls’ sports and empowering women creatives, ensuring that HFP’s services and products actively support the growth, visibility, and confidence of the programs they serve.
She is the creative force behind HFP’s proprietary Power Posing system and workflow, which drive the dynamic imagery, consistency, and organized photo experiences the brand is known for.
Vicky lives in rural northern Illinois with her husband of 30+ years—a former Division I collegiate basketball player at University of Illinois Chicago—their goofy Boxer, Wrangler, and close to their adult children.
